Just a little update.
I've moved the car into my workplace, removed the exhaust including the 6 branch, and everything is ready to remove the engine tomorrow.
Diff has also been removed, I want it taken apart to see if it's the proper 40% lock up, or not. If not, will try and get it rebuilt to the proper spec.
That's it really, also been buying small things to make it nice, new clips and screws, new rear number plate panel, fire extinguisher and bracket.
Things are starting to move again now, may even be done before the end of this year..

Just a couple of things I've been collecting along the way. If I see them going cheap, I buy them!
New number plate surround and clips..

New accelerator cable, a new one always makes an improvement..

New trailing arm bushes, these are the ones for lowered cars..

Hartge side stripes in light grey..

Spare centre caps..

Fire extinguisher with bracket..

Leather handbrake gaitor and handle..

Complete 2 door lock kit with the spare key and valet key..

Centre console that's about a year old, was fitted to my touring, complete with heated seat switches and loom..

SE Boot trim panel, will be re-trimmed in leather..

Loving the "portable" engine hoist Simon

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

I've confirmed the gearbox is the short ratio sport item.
Also had these delivered in the week, thanks to Theo..

My H27 has got the proper Hartge items already fitted, bought these as spares
Car will be going into the bodyshop in the next couple of weeks.

any progress on this Simon ?

I have a question regaring that fire extinguisher. Does it fit under the passenger seat? Under the adjustable legrest? I have a 325i Sport and there is a funny wearmark on the carpet under the seats legrest and I can't figure out how that got there.
Why is there not enough time to do it right, but allways enough time to fix the errors - I borrowed that, just so reallistic in my line of work.

Sorry guys, missed the posts on here.
The extinguisher fits under either passenger or drivers seat, under the extendable thigh support.
Thanks for the proof, this is where I saw it and realised it is a proper hartge item. Shame the front one is missing
Sorry guys, no real updates, engine is on a stand stripped down, but hasn't been touched for about a month.
Busy period for us in work, coupled with the bad weather.

I have both a front and one of these rear strut braces in my C2, they appear to be from Griffin motorsport going buy the notes in my cars history, exactly the same design though?Simon wrote:Thanks for the proof, this is where I saw it and realised it is a proper hartge item. just seen this thread thats nice u need a hand or advice re bodwork give me a shout the garage you taking it to for paint were abouts isit valley as in earlier post? would there a bloke called eddie working there? if so wat a legend
all aspects of bodywork undertaken south wales 325 project wanted
Yes and they also used and sold alot of Hartge parts even after they stopped being the UK agent.tomson wrote:Would that be Griffin Motorsport that used to be in Swindon?Simon wrote:Griffin used to be the hartge uk dealer before birds.
I didnt know that..... but I do have a rear strut brace that looks identical to the one pictured above. It has no markings but was removed from an S50 converted E30 that Griffin did, I'm thinking it might be a Hartge one
