Can anyone give me an idea of the price I'm looking at for the labour and parts? Want to make sure I get a good price.

I've not changed it in 5 years although only covered 20,000 miles or so and now on 89,000. It was last done in the late 50s but a friend has told me after those years it's maybe perished..........I'm guessing it might be cheaper to change it than risk it breaking.

Age does affect the belt as well. I'd be changing a M40 belt and tensioners every 25K/4 years - whatever comes first.

There is a good pictoral guide available, probably now in the wiki, but a sensible DiY person can manage this..I did.. :D
