I've tried searching for this but can't find what I'm after. Anyone got instructions for welding a diff?? I have a couple spare so thought I'd try it. Any info much appreciated.

Jimmy, you'll be checking the engine too then!! Its going in along side a 325 lump! Just thought I'd have some fun over the winter and then come march put it back to a 318 or a 320....probably a 320 :D

I welded mine the other week and loved it until it let go. I did it on a spur of the moment though sod idn't look into it properly. turns out I hadn't welded enough.

Got a new diff on now, will be welding that up shortly though.

i have pics of welding my diff up on my build page here ;)

try to remove any welding "spatter" which gets in the diff. i went round mine for 30mins with a hammer and an old screwdriver and rinsed with oil. i will also change the oil after a test run.

good luck happy welding
