i have a 1987 318i and the body is quite possibly one of the best i have ever seen never been welded or bashed the engine is wrecked due to the bottom end going belly up i have found a new engine for 375 quid is it really worth doing??

Or fit a 2.5 engine :)

Why wouldn't it be worth doing,assuming you've found a good engine?

i would haggle on the engine price seems a bit high in my opinion

Too much extra work needed for this engine swop, but as Simon says the Ԛ£375 price is steep, nearer Ԛ£200 is the marked value.

Source a good lump and do the job, will be worth it !!!!

rite i think i will do that then i would put the 2.5 in but im only 20 and havent had the ideal insurance history ie smashing rsturbo lookylikeys etc no wot i mean????!!!!!! :lol:
