£300 sounds cheap for a full re-trim. Is that just to repair your seats?
Some colours of fabric are no longer available from BMW. For instance, I wanted Silber iS tweed-style or the velour material for my Recaro's and neither of them are available anymore. I did manage to source some of the diagonal striped cloth for the centre cushions, but I had a hell of a wait and the Dude at the $tealers said that he very much doubted that there would be any more available after that. It's not cheap either - cost me £150 for 2mtrs and you need over a metre-and-a-half to do the centre cushions of 2 Sport or Recaro seats. The plain material was more expensive than that (really!) and my trimmer said 4mtrs to do the 2 Reacro's including the headrests and 2 BMW rear headrests.
