I hope to be able to make it so hopefully I`ll see you there.
I know what you mean about the Nova`s, maybe you`re right! I just haven`t been on track for quite some time and some of the corners scare me at Combe

Ahh, Darren, you'll be ok! Just brake leading upto Avon rise on the right had side of the track, into 4th and then off the brakes and back full on the throttle heading for the apex of Avon rise and keep it planted untill the car settles, then BRAKE! into 3rd heading towards the traffic light... DO NOT try and keep the car to the left before Quarry courner.. so much time can be had here! and without the risk of loosing the rear end and saying hello to the barrier on the left hand side. I know I have won races here! lol. Even use some grass on the apex of Quarry corner if you think you are not going to exit properly. Done right, you will know you had it right
The rest is my secret, but you can find a good couple of seconds if you do the above!
FWIW, my old fiesta RS1800 racer was flat up over avon rise.. yes, thats full throttle from turn into Camp corner right through to the braking point at Quarry corner. 5th gear and over 130MPH over Avon rise!
But then it is a front wheel drive car lol.
By the way... do not try this if you are not confident enough or if you don't want to risk damaging your car!

Does anyone know how long the track sessions are for? I'm guessing around 20 minutes.

8 Laps I think. Rather than action day, its more commonly referred to as crash day!

Paul, Put me down for a dyno run please.
I'd like to say 100% i'll be there but it depends if I finish the current S50 project...
(Its changed a bit since the last action day we dyno'd it at 126bhp LOL)

Mi16 is ready, sort of...
Massive exhaust blow that a 'specialist' tried to fix. Won't be reccomending him anytime soon.
The car still wonders about, good old 205 beams. It wasn't the wishbone bushes
Down on what feels like about 20bhp.
So if the car makes it all of 30 miles i'll be there.

Hi Paul,
I've only just seen your thread about the rolling road day next saturday. I have the 1.9 M44 in mine now and would be really interested in joining in the rolling road day if its still going ahead - just as I want to see what its making with the 1.9 engine.
Are you planning on booking time slots or an order for people, or just run them as and when people arrive? I've got a bit of suspension work to do this week, just a bit concerned about letting you down if things go badly with the suspension work and you've booked time slots especially? I can hold off the suspension work till next week if I need to give 100% committment that I'll be there.
Cheers, Simon

I am just running as and when people turn up... but saying this, I will probably finish up at around 3.30/4pm.
I'd be interested to see what your 1.9 does too, considering it doesn't have any knock sensors or lambda control to limit it.
Call me if you want to book a specific time. But I do have a 318i at 8.30 that I have to run and give a tweak before the day starts.

Hi Paul,
I'll just turn up at 9:30 or 10:00 if thats OK then and run whenever there is a space, I'm not fussy about booking a specific time.
I've held off doing the suspension so I'll definitely be able to make it
Cheers, Simon

Hi Paul, I'll be over with Tim and James at some point in the morning, and another mate has just finished his PBMWC build in anticipation for the action day. Its being MOT'd today and he's keen to see what its putting out. No changes to mine recently so I won't be needing a run. See you Saturday. Alex

Hi mate, you can come along with your Calibra, no problems, but I don't think I will have time to do any adjustments. I can do it during week days though.dano0 wrote:can i provisionally book a spot for my calibra turbo not sure what time also how much would it cost to set up the actuator

Yeah that's Tim coming in at 8:30, he's a mate through the racing. Unfortunately the other one that was going to come has failed the MOT on some corrosion issues and the test centre doesn't have any spaces now till after the weekend...oh wellShepsEvo3 wrote:

Also due to not much interest in this, I can't give out any prizes this time round unfortunately.
