i believe most came with mtech 2 body kit, electric roof, bubble or lotus white leater (not sure about that bit actually!)
But they did have leather centre consols etc,
Where's Bharat when you need him! probably outside playing with his E36

no mechanical changes?
okay, how does a 325 sport differ from a standard 325 ?
does anyone have a link to a picture of a mauritius blue car or an mtech 2 bodykit?
sorry for all the questions, having owned an e36 and currently an e46 im a complete newbie when it comes to the e30

mechanically a sport is different to a standard 325i in that they have
1) close ratio gearbox
2) Limited slip differential
3) m- tech suspension
plus sport seats + m tech body kit
motorsport cabs came in 4 colours sebring grey, maritius blue, calypso red and macau blue.
They came with electric hoods options of bubble leather, lotus white, half leather.
leather door cards and centre consols which most seem to be grey colour

what is "bubble" leather, does that refer to the pattern or the texture?

BMW E30 325 MOTOR SPORT ED. CONVERTIBLE - NOT FOR SALE: BMW E30 325 MOTOR SPORT ED. CONVERTIBLE Here same useful information I picked up from eBay for those looking to buy an E30 325 MOTORSPORT CONVERTIBLE beware! This is for information purposes only so please pass on the message to anyone interested in buying one of these cars. They are special! The specification under the Ԛ“Motor Sport EditionԚâ€a banner with BMW GB is detailed under dealer code 798. Take the chassis number of the car you are thinking about buying to any BMW Dealer. Ask them to run it through their computer for the original specification details. This should show dealer code 798 THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART, without it you canÔš't buy any of the M Technic parts and your car will be de-valued as 325 Motor Sport Edition Cars are becoming collectable! There are only 590 325 Motor Sport Edition Convertibles is the UK, this breaks down as: 40 in 1988 250 in 1989 250 in 1990 50 in 1991 My research leads me to believe that of the last 50 there are 25 finished in Calypso Red, 10 with lotus white leather trim the rest with the very special Ԛ“bubble leatherԚâ€a Napa-Tex woven central seat parts in either black or silver/grey ONLY (from the M5 of that time). A further 10 cars from the last batch were built by Alpina. All those cars have the later style rear lights, are in Calypso red (Maroon). Please donÔš't believe 1 of 250 or 1 of 50 etc. itÔš's only half true at best? The run extended to 590 in total in the UK Ԛ—a I have seen them in LHD, even rarer as the M3 convertible was only LHD. The 325 Motor Sport Edition was touted as an alternative in the UK! Most of these cars are finished in Sebring Grey Metallic (Black hoods) & Macua Blue Metallic (Blue hoods) both special to the Motorsport range, thereÔš's also black NOT SURE OF ANY OTHER COLOURS. Nearly all of them have power hoods as standard. The leather includes the centre tunnel; all door panels (not just a Ԛâ€ËasplashÔš' of leather), inside of door pockets and tops of ash trays! Any without the bubble leather inserts have either black or sliver/grey leather & have motor sport colours sewn in one corner of the seat back rest. HereÔš's the full specification of Motor Sport Edition 325 Convertible (from BMW GB salesman bulletin): Ԛ• M Technic body package, includes: Ԛ• Front spoiler (bumper one part/lower panel second part) Ԛ• Rear Skirt (bumper one part/lower panel second part) Ԛ• Side sills & Panelling (4 panel parts each side & sill) Ԛ• NO REAR SPOILER ALLOWED Ԛ• Napa-Tex woven cloth/leather central seat parts (from M5) Ԛ• M Technic sports suspension Ԛ• M Technic steering wheel with impact pad in leather (M Tec II) Ԛ• Leather upholstery for outer parts of seats, doors & side panels, centre & tunnel consoles Ԛ• Prepped for hard top Ԛ• Option of Electro/mechanical hood Ԛ• Black satin chrome (fully de-chromed) Ԛ• Body coloured mirrors & bumpers Ԛ• 7J x 15 BBS cross spoke alloy wheels (5) with cross spokes painted in Nogaro Silver Ԛ• 205 / 55 R 15 V Tyres Ԛ• Boot lid lined Ԛ• Graduated tinted windscreen Ԛ• On board computer Ԛ• Full exhaust catalysor Ԛ• EH gearbox on Automatic box (switable auto) A fully loaded one with auto & power hood would have cost over Ԛ£30k new! ThereÔš's no head lamp wash-wipe, no air-con, no electric seats, no other colours, no rear spoilers, change suspension to anything other than M Technic lowers the value of the car

Xedman, what an entrance for your first post !!! Bang on !
Price? Low mileage FSH etc can go any as much as 10.5k. Inferior examples as little as 4.5k. It's a real mine field.
Tread carefully.

Hi Guys.
My car has been confirmed as a genuine motorsport convertible by BMW.
Well you all know the motorsport spec but mine does not have the leather around the tunnel and the gear stick it just looks like any 325i e30 inside.
