I found this picture on a Swedish BMW site of an E32 with V16 engine and I wonder if BMW made any prototype of it, or is it just a photoshop?

Sure I've seen a piccy of a BMW V16 prototype on the E30tech forum.

hmmm according to Wikipedia (which is not the be all and end all as a source), there was a v16 designed by BMW but was used in Rolls Royce prototype.

"BMW also experimented with a V-16, eventually showing a 9-liter (~550 CID) version in the Rolls-Royce 100EX concept car, but it has been changed to a V12 for production and size reasons"

that V16 looks cooool....should have a propellor on the front and be flying in the skys above southern England...

That e32 is a photoshop as the engine fits exactly like the v12 in the bay, but somehow mysteriously has an extra 4 cylinders...
