I'm wanting to give my engine and bay a good old clean and just looking for some advice, ie best way to do it, best stuff to use, things to look out for as i dont want to cause any damage.
An engine is an engine to me so i dont really know whats what in there so i could probably do some damage if im not careful lol

So should i steer clear of water then? I dont want to damage any electrics? I've heard a few horror stories of people using pressure washers on engines, or would a hose be fine as long as its not to powerful, combined with whats recommended above?

ive always used loads of hot and soapy water when cleaning engine bay but be just becarefull
used hot water, t-cut,engine degreaser and back to black to get my 316 looking like this

and yes i even cleaned the engine bay of my corsa with hot water and back to black,i had to be really carefull doing it because the wireing and elctonics seam rather exposed because the build quality of them is Shit

yes i have removed air filter
