well the sport wil handle better due to the rigidity of the roof, and also being slightly lightrer............however the motorsport cab is rarer and they can have certain points or items that other e30's don't such as sebring grey(other than selected m3's) or bubble leather.
they are both fantastic cars in thier own right
do you want the cab, or the safety, and handleing of the sport??
it up to you, what do you feel more comfortable with, what tickles your fancy the most??
or you could have both

hi, mate the thing is i could buy both , as the sport is 4k and the motorsport is 7.5k but i say but i will have to sell my yamaha r7 which i cherish and my recently aquired e30 325ise with mtec kit and fully loaded as you can see life can be so unfair sometimes but it will be a sacrifice !! , but then it usually is when you get an oppertunity like thisbillgatese30 wrote:well the sport wil handle better due to the rigidity of the roof, and also being slightly lightrer............however the motorsport cab is rarer and they can have certain points or items that other e30's don't such as sebring grey(other than selected m3's) or bubble leather.

I flogged a sport to buy a a m/sport cab, at first I missed the sport like crazy and thought I'd dropped a clanger. But On days like today, roof down, CD kicking and EVERYONE staring at me & my motor... well the car comes into its own. To be honest its like having 2 different cars !! Every old car has its foibles, things that irritate you but theres no gain without pain ! The motorsport cab is well worth the money, the performance is there when you need it and the look and style is second to none. Get yourself a good un & its more eyecatching than newer soft tops!!
Plus whizzing home at twighlight still roofless is an awesome experience!

i love my sport, but the feelin of driving a cab in summer is second to none! (almost as good as having a R7) but you probably live in uk so remember a cab is not just for summer!

Easy really mate. Buy the cab, then a hard-top and get it colour codded and it will feel like you have both. As said before, there's no better feeling than roof down on a summers day just cruzing and singing your heart out

You know it makes sence. I feel like i'm driving a different car when i fling my hard-top on my car. The whole car feels much more solid, and i love the look on peoples faces as well, cause they cant work out what's happened to the car as the original hard-tops flows so well with the car it's almost immpossible to realise that it's a seperate bit. You know their just thinking "I could have sworn i saw that car before and it was a convertible and now it's a coupe"

Both gorgeous cars but surely not worth selling the most stunning of all the jap bikes for..no way would I sell an R7 to have both
Get the cab and keep the R7, both will go up in value as the years roll by..
What spec is your r7 mate, is it unrestricted?

i'd say get the sport mate
the cab would be lovely, but is infinitely less practical, and IMO motorsport cabs and Sport are over-valued for what they are.
is it gonna be an everyday car?if so, sport is the way forward, if not then the cab could be attractive...
mans what a lovely problem to have
