Used to be Quaser with his 2.7 which then blew up.
However, its coming back with a manual gearbox and a rebuilt 2.7 with a wilder camshaft.
It already made 205bhp with standard manifold, 268 cam, CAT in the exhaust!
Should be a fair bit more with the BTB 6 branch, 284 cam, and removal of bloody CAT!

Just in case anyone's still wondering about this 'fastest E30 Motorsport convertible' business, my old one did 167bhp on the rollers at Bexley, and I was told it wasn't running right anyway.
Totally standard, apart from a Full Magnex system, manifold and all.
AND, it was an Auto

325i Motorsport Edition convertible - gone, but not forgotten.

Sorry fellas I dont spend time doin pictures, if it helps maybe I'll consider at some point. However let me reassure you any one who owns 1 of 250 ever made will look after that car! My car was in TBMW Nov 03, feature car on Motorsport Cabs (any one who has back copies will see it) .
Since then I have added the following;
17 in powder coated alloys. (devils)
colour coded kidney grill
M colour headlight grill
Smoked lights all round Inc' headlights.
Blue carbon fibre effect roundel badges.( Bonnet & boot)
Private Registration plate.
Rear head rests.
M colour dials.
Eyebrow spoilers,( not sure about them, sometimes on, s/times off)
Spax springs 40mm.
Plus trivia.
Roof down, foot down, there is no other white knuckle ride like it !!
Very smart car
Peejay.
IF you've got it FLAUNT IT !!

My personal view on motorsport cabs is that they should be left standard. Theres nothing wrong with small cosmetic touches like clear indicators or slight upgrades to the suspension.
Motorsport cabs aint about going super fast or going sideways, its all about the overall enjoyment factor.
One question though...........why is it all the ugly people have cabs?

E30geezer, yeah i just decided to totally strip/clean/paint/replace whatever is needed to get it looking as new again. Probably take a good many months of spare time & money but i'm really enjoying doing this as it's the next best thing to uncovering an new/unsold motorsport in the back of a dealers. The interior is first on the agenda with the rear seats/headrests/doorcards now complete. It's not currently bad in any way and with a clean/polish it still looks really nice, just me going a bit OTT, but as i'm keeping it i've decided to spend some decent money on getting it as good/standard as i can. These cars are 14 yrs old now and unfortunately they will show ageing somewhere. e.g my rear arches need sorting and the front valance is stonechipped with a few stonechips on the bonnet too. As i then need to paint valance/bonnet/rear arches i've decided to have a full dealer respray instead. I'll keep a full dossier with all receipts of work/parts.
Gazza, obviously won't make the meet neither, just decided the time was right to get started on my motor.
