I thought there may be many people interested in this technology developed by Bill Cambell of Sydney Australia. He has developed a LPG conversion using the cars computer to deliver a power increase. the following is from his web site :LPG & Propane Gas Injection Technologies
Increased Power on Performance Vehicle
GTi Converts BA Falcon and meets Euro 2 Emissions
GTi Converts Clubman with Toyota 4AGE 20 Valve Engine
Increased Power on Performance Vehicle
Bill Campbell the founder and Managing Director of Gas Injection Technologies recently announced the development of a revolutionary system to suit high performance vehicles. It has long been Bill's dream to utilise the high-octane properties of Autogas in performance applications. The culmination of that dream is the introduction of Hi Flowing "Stealth" injectors and a revolutionary regulator/heat exchanger capable of the high flow demands of performance engines.

At the Melbourne Motor Show Extras pavilion, in conjunction with the Australian L.P.Gas Association, GTi has unveiled it's latest system installed on a VY Holden Commodore 5.7 Litre Clubsport R8. The GTi sequential vapour injection system integrates the high octane properties of Autogas with the advanced engineering of today's performance vehicles, enhancing performance while reducing harmful exhaust emissions and global warming.

As can be seen in the graph below the Commodore produced an impressive improvement of 9 Horsepower at the rear wheels making it approximately 270 Kw at the flywheel.

This makes the GTi system the only performance-enhancing product that reduces the costs of ownership.

The GTi system improves the ownerÔš's enjoyment of their chosen vehicle, by taking away the background stress of high fuel costs.

GTi Converts BA Falcon and meets Euro 2 Emissions

Gas Injection Technologies Pty Ltd recently converted a BA Falcon to Autogas to test the emission performance of the gas injection system on the latest model vehicle against the latest ADR79/00 (Euro 2) emission standards. The vehicle was tested at the RTA emission testing facility at Botany on petrol with 13,000Km on the odometer, and then the vehicle was converted to Autogas and retested. The results are as follows.

As the table shows, the IM240 results were excellent with an overall 91% reduction in regulated emissions from petrol and 94% reduction from the ADR (Australian Design Rule).

He told me the system should be available in about 12 months.
Regards Richard

You're not telling those of us who have already seen the light anything we don't already know!
Lpg development in this coumtry is a year or two ahead of Australia for some reason, and SGI kits are readily available here.
To get an increase in power, though, is normally unrealistic for road use, as certain parameters of the engine (notably compression ratio and timing advance curve) would have to be changed in such a way as to make running on petrol as well become impossible.
If you're willing to risk running without petrol available as a back up fuel, and do the neccessary engine work, then you can achieve a modest increase in power.
