I recently bought everything needed to build a 2.7 engine, only problem is its completely stripped down and I don't have the skill/confidence to put it together. The purchase included new shells, rings and oil pump. The 325 head needs testing, but i'm assured its ok. The ETA bottom end is from a 1987 525e. Pretty much everything is there and what isn't shouldn't be hard to come by. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone that can do the build and the transplant, preferably in the Essex/London area.

Cheers, Jacko.
And on the eighth day God created........The E30!

M20 engine is a lovely engine to strip/rebuild.Pulls apart in a logical manner. There are two tricky bits, slackening the front crank bolt(the 22mm one) is best done using the starter motor with the engine still in the car.The second is stripping/rebuilding the head, for which there is a photo guide in the articles section.Get stuck in!!
