I had mine replaced whilst the head was off - Ԛ£21 from GSF and pretty easy to fit i believe (garage only charged me half-hour labour to fit).

Could be a lot worse! You know you're going to regret selling it 5 minutes after it's gone!

Bummer, thats a pain in the ass!
Its a 2 min job to change if the head is off.
Here's a pic of my old and new one and there's just a little difference in the condition!!

i got nemos old head here to get tested and i'll get the other head tested at same time
as long as one of them is ok im laughing

Im still nervous about my new head incase it f***s up. I wont be happy until the car has been running fine for a week or two after Im finished rebuilding it.
