Gave the car a bit of a spit and shine today, was a nice evening so decided to go and take a few pics. Excuse the bonnet sticker folks, due to some peeling lacquer caused by a stone chip that has gotten worse over time... bonnet will will be getting re-sprayed asap.

Few pics added after this mornings cleaning frenzy, engine bay had the once over as did interior and headlining...... might go and drive it now!

haha it not a lie... it the gods honest truth guv!

No great secret method, just good bit of elbow grease, decent wash using the old 3 bucket method, dried off with clean waffle towels, clean applicators for every step, always give is a couple of coats of step 2 which does seem to help the end result as helps lift that glossy finish. With the car being a darker metallic colour it does lend its self to a nice deep shine... low sunlight helps when taking pics too as it gives car nice soft reflections rather than harsh directional midday sun. Dont know what else to tell ya mate, maybe you need more practice.....winkeye

Nice pics. Car looks great.

The first shot would be superb if you cropped it at the tree trunk. The space to the right of the trunk is dead. The trunk's crying out to be the right most edge. You'd have to lose a similar amount off the top but that's ok too, it's a little burned out, so wouldn't detract in any way.

Cheers mate, :D

i like a bit of negative space in pictures, plus i like the detail and the little bit of sky peeping through to the right of the tree.

Just cleaned engine bay and interior so will add pics in a min. :D

Thanks chaps. Not much to tell about cleaning the headlining, i actually used the same stuff i used on the carpets, Meguiars carpet cleaner, i think the trick it to not use to much, a stiff brush and good bit of the old elbow grease. If you over saturate it there is a chance that you can loosen the glue so you have to be care full. Nice steady circular motion to get rid of any nasty marks using just the cleaning solution then a once over with a damp cloth (dont want to soak your headling as that could leave drying stains) to remove any leftovers, leave to dry properly then i went over it with the hoover with a small brush attachment fitted. Took about 90mins of cleaning time and worked a treat. I must say it wasn't heavily marked in the first place but it did come up nice and even when finished. I think when doing any sort of cleaning inside or out you have to take your time, pain in the ass i know but pays off in the end.

Thanks for all the nice comments folks :D
