Scottish Meet!either Sun 3rd or sun 17th Aug?
Moderator: martauto
Hi all. I'd like to gate crash this one with my 540i/6 if that's ok. I saw some of your cars at Glamis and spoke to John (are you oldie323 ?) with the nice 535i. I'm working in the morning though so might be late. Anyone willing to give me a mob number so I can catch up if I miss the 11:30 meet?
Cheers, Alec

I've got the mot on the 325 tomorrow. So here's hoping i get it passed. Fixed everything on the advice notice so should be good to go for sunday. Will confirm either way tomo as the 320i has decided to pi$$ out fuel after filling with anything more than 20 quids worth in the tank.

dave- cheers for the heads up.
wouldl ove to come but the touring has no tax, and the 2dr has developed a nasty wobble (pos wheel bearing) and the wife is due to pop any day now...
any one in the area got a set of smaller diameter front legs with or without struts with good bearings that can get me through to xmas-ish
cheers ian

Thats the two front wheel bearings done just the tracking and oil change to do tomorrow and the 4 door should be ready for its first meet
Also fitted new blue sensor and set the afm to suit the bmc cda filter so hopefully i'll get better mpg now instead of around 15 miles for a £10
Just hope the weather is alright as i could do with 4 new tyres

So who's still going?

I've just fitted the front coilovers, so the Deeside roads will do nicely for fine tuning them.
See you guys tomorrow then

Turn out was pretty poor, however, a certain twisty sectionof road between Crathes and Tomintoul more than made up for the small turnout
Certain individuals were "on a bit of a high" by the time we got to Tomintoul and John muttered something about having no brakes for about 7 miles
I think Mike (in the cabby) enjoyed himself and is planning on becoming a regular on our wee meets.
Jake seemed to have a big grin on his face as well
I'm happy to say that the old 316i tourer didn't disgrace itself alongside the 325i's and 535i and 540i that turned up.

Well done Dave!
Sorry I couldn't make it, the cabby needs an MOT, but I'm too busy/Feck'd off with buying/trying to sell houses to get it done - might end up selling the Big Issue the way things are going right now.................
Looking forward to the next meet and to seeing a few new faces.

It doesn't need much doing does it Grant??grantfk10 wrote: the cabby needs an MOT
I'm sure James will manage to fix any issues that may manifest itself at the mot
Does this mean that the BBQ is postened indefinately?I'm too busy/Feck'd off with buying/trying to sell houses to get it done
There is one planned for October 22nd at a small place called the Nurburgring if your interestedLooking forward to the next meet and to seeing a few new faces.

The cabby hasn't been out of the garage since I got "Beatrice" lol! TBH, I dunno what it'll need doing for the MOT - the headlight aim is WAAAY out for sure, but I haven't been in the mood to even take it round to the MOT shop to see what needs doing (hopefully not much!)
Re the Housewarming/BBQ: The couple that are buying the house from the woman who is buying Stellas house haven't sold theirs, despite signing missives. So we can't get the cash from the woman who's buying Stellas place to pay for our new place, and we were supposed to move in this Friday
Therefore the BBQ IS postponed, but not cancelled - hopefully things will move on soon.
I'd love to do the Nurburgring, but can't see me having the funds for a while now.
Keep me posted if there's something a bit nearer to home (wherever that will be) in the near future.
