Are you sure they had the tach signal correct for the run?march109 wrote:Mines being remapped soon, this should see more power and torque because the fuelling is terrible, and I'm dropping the FSE powaaah boost fire starter valve too. I bet it did cost more, but it needn't I know you could beat 200bhp all day long with a basic 2.8L build, remember mine was built and paid for by Adam too, I'm only bearing the development cost of my new 2.9L/3.0L M20 which some of the cost will be recouped by selling the old engine, and don't forget its still on the log manifold and fuelling is all over the place. 250bhp N/A is the goal. and I think its achievable. 5 bags deep and nearly ready to assemble.
so you were 2bhp more, and missing alot less torque??
Its unusual for an m20 stroker to make peak power 7000rpm and beyond also peak torque at 6000rpm with the stock intake manifold especially if its not remapped.
Power seems right but i would guess that the tach signal was reading high leading to deflated torque and high rpm readouts for peak torque and peak hp.
