Wrong time to move here, unemplyment ->up, interest rates -> up, inflation -> up. But if you want to then you want to.

I personaly have never found a dealer worth the money they charge and stick my car in local independant places when I need to, though you are looking for a transfer unfortunatly for you I've not heard good things from staff in the main dealers either.

TBH I'd get fully qualified first, much more oppertunity for a fully qualified mechanic than an apprentice.

BMW Malton are great. about 20 miles east of York. So not where you want to be, but at least you'll have some local knowlege from your better half.

I've never taken an E30 in there but they've been really good with E39,E46

agrees with march109 above, many people here dont like/use dealers, as theres not much point, there a rip off for one, and the work they do is not good at all in my opinion, especially for the money they charge...

My mate got a service plus a few extra bits he wanted to get done, they f*#k'd up his car, left nuts n bolts out, didnt secure parts properly and this was on a 325 motorsport, all totally original, not touched by any sort of modifier....oh and this was in the croydon dealer by the way people....

Why, in the name of God, would anyone want to move from Canada to a shithole like the UK? My folks live near Halifax (Nova Scotia, not West Yorkshire) and would never willingly come back here.

stay away from this country, unless you like being broke and living in a sh*t hole that is.
