Hi,

I'm getting a new roof fitted next week. I want to know what substances I can use to protect it from getting and staying wet. Something that will make my roof water resistant and let the water just fall off.

I've been looking at the Pro Detailing website so far.

I used Turtle Wax soft top proofer...seems to work

I've done some research and have come across a product called 'Scotchgard'. I am sure some of you are aware of this product...it's meant to be the nuts. To be honest any kind of water repellent or resistant should work effectively.

yes mate they put it on fabric sofas etc. you can buy it ina spray applicator

I got the outdoor protector which should be ideal. It's £7.00 for 400ml. I got 5 8O how long would one last? Not even a quarter of the roof lol!

I do need to get maybe a cleaner and a protector so may look around at Autoglym's products. Thanks grantfk10 :thumb:

I used a can to over the whole roof. It was more than enough!

Apparantly you should do it every 6 months.
