Hi,
I want to clean the spray bar on my 318i, when I take the engine apart do I have to use a new gasket and new bolts to put it back together?
And what do I need to use to clean the spray bar?
Thanks!

Im in York but thanks anyway.
I agree £30 is cheap but I just want to give it a freshen up so I would rather clean it with some injector cleaner I have at home anyway.
Are you going to replace the gasket or bolts? Is it just a case of unbolt rocker cover, remove, clean (or replace), put back together?

I'm in Haxby
Unless the gaskets look wankered you'll probably get away with it.
If your 318 sounds rattly the odds are the cam or rockers are wankered, but making sure she has a healthy supply of oil will help keep the rattle of doom at bay

would genuine parts be essential? as only £10 or so from gsf iirc? can get away with same bolts,, and gasket too if still pretty clean as its the rocker cover not the head that you are taking off.
