Time flies when you’re having fun.

You take a small ”˜me-time’ break to spend give some much needed attention to your Favourite Mode Of Personal Transport ”“ no, not an E30 you may or may not be surprised, horrified, affronted, put-out or otherwise hacked off; it’s entirely up to you ”“ but my achingly original Lambrini Fiasco 4.6GTR. A car that has everything for me, not by any means limited to the dented wing I think of as patina, OPEC cheering fuel consumption and a frank disregard for effective ergonomics. The kind of car that would laugh along with you whilst you get loaded on the Upper-West-Side and then make a good case that you, and your new friends, can happily do a runner on the bar-tab. Bless it. Still, you lay a car up for seven years and what can you expect but some solid weeks of re-commissioning that border on a full restoration. No nuts painted here though, friends.

I see that the Bowie Boy intervened in my absence with a ”˜picture’ competition. But enough of that now. In this silver year for the E30, show me the car that you would proudly put forward as representing the essence of what the E30 was designed to be, became and now represents. Your view might be incredibly personal, it might reflect that of the general masses. No matter. It’s your opinion that counts here.

Oh and good pics help, too.
