Hoping I don't need to do the chain itself. Are there any other parts that it's good to replace at the same time??

Hoshy, I asked the parts guru for the price of shells a while back as im going to be doing mine when i get some money together and he quoted me as follows:
Big end shells: £66.13 (set)
Main bearing shells: £88.40 (set)
But hed need to know the color mark on the con rod and main bearing. hope this helps!

I Know i thought they would have been a lot more than that. Im not sure bout the procedure for the proper measurment but there are dots of color on the con rod by the big end and then on the crank but the main end and the guru said he could order the right shell size by just knowing those colors. I think mine were a yellow dot on the con and a blue dot on the crank but i cant remember. hope that made any sense! lol!

oh interesting. I thought it was the case the the different sizes were to accommodate for wear or something. it makes perfect sense.
