oooohhh yes baby!!!!
took me about three hours lol but I did! took her out for a spin and what a difference! Can't believe I'd waited so long and WHY did bmw ever sell an e30 without one!
to push in the drop links I had to take off the read dampers. noticed there's no rebound. so I guess they're fucked? I've got the two off the 325i (prefacelift) they will fit yes? any better? or should I just buy some mtecs and get the spings at a later date.... (money's tight atm)

I know all 325i e30s come with them as standard not sure about others.
it took me about three hours but I'm a proper n00b and can tell you where I was going wrong too. There's at least one in the for sale section atm. You wont regret it mate. 25squid for the bar I think it was... that and a bit of patience is all you need. tools wise I used:
13mm and 19mm ratchet/spanners.
jack
axel stands
washing up liquid

I think you've got that back to front mate.
If they rebound there called springs

yeah you're right I had the idea in my head that the were supposed to return to their "normal" position. but I know now, they are there to control the rate of compression and expansion of the springs.
