I guess if I'd have received the comments Dave has done, I'd be thinking about whether or not I would be attending future events too.

He's a really nice man who is always kind, helpful and knowledgeable about e30 stuff and I don't think he deserves so much banter. I realise I was not there on Sunday and I don't know how these comments are being said as it's not always easy to interpret the humour behind the written comments, but if Dave says that he'll not be coming to future events, then to my way of thinking, it's gone too far. His comments were short, to the point and I think he means it. His absence would be a loss to those events and I do hope he reconsiders.

If it's a bloke thing and I've interferred, then I apologise.

its not a "bloke" thing, its a "zone" thing jackie. we all know dave's a lovely chap (no, not you gaszman ) and his beautiful car is a great representative of the zone and so no-one wants him to not turn up anymore. its all very good humoured, tongue-in cheek banter, nothing more. after all, we turned up at the pub about half an hour after everyone else, DIDNT WE GOR! i think if everyone took any real notice of personal comments on here, no-one would turn up(except scrumps)!! (would they gor, gaszman, rob, iain, spook, suchy, bassboy........). we all know what a great bunch of guys and gals we zoners are. ive been involved in a few car clubs in my 21 years and the zoners are the most friendly bunch you could wish to meet. the social aspect's excellent. time for some behind-the-scenes diplomacy hartgy?

Dave, and Lin, I'm sure anyone who upset you at the weekend will be happy to apologise to you at the next meet, including me if I said anything upsetting, (hope I didn't... )
I was treating it all as a laugh, and took the banter as just the normal (sometimes OTT) humour, though Chris did seem rather p***ed off... Tan told me on the way home that Lin had got upset too.
Don't want to rock boats and dig holes, so I'll say nothing else for now, but no one wants you to stop attending the meets, and certainly no one wants to feel either of you are not enjoying the meets Dave and Lin.

We promise to restrain Chris if you continue to attend. I'll even sabatage his throttle... make him even slower than my turd...
