Hi,
Have just been over the car with a clay bar, Z-PC, followed by Z1 Lock and Z2 Pro.
If I want to add another layer of Z2 do I have to use the Z1 first or is Z1 just for use on clean paint ??
Thanks,
G

You can't add another layer of z2 unless you zfx it, zaino recommend only layering z2 in 24 hour intervals unless you add zfx then you can only layer 3 layers of zfx+z2 in 24 hours.
If you don't have zfx just put on some cs, then tomorrow do a panel wipe down with a detailer spray then layer on another z2, do the same for 2 or three days.

Thanks for the reply.
I have the Z8 Detailing spray .. will just give it some of that and then a new layer of Z2.
I know you have to wait at least 24 hours before coats if not using Zfx.
With the finish I have now I just want more .... next step will be a Megs rotary polisher.
I love the finish Zaino gives ... I put my microfibre on the boot lid and it slid off.

I love it too.
It really is a waste though to apply more than one layer of z2 in 24hours since it hasn't had time to cure, and you'll just be taking the old layer off.
zfx is really good stuff imo too, if a little pricy.
When you reapply doit one panel at a time, so for example;
z8 panel, wipe down, z2 panel
next panel
z8 panel, wipe down, z2 panel
next panel
ect ect.....
Then I would leave it a bit longer than normal before buffing (sometimes I don't buff off until the next morning!)
I prefer to also layer cs over z2+zfx over z-aio, then by the end of the day I have 5 layers.
Then midweek when she gets bit grubby just a snow foam wash and rinse sees it sparkling again, then I dry and seal it again. I only have to touch it for the drying and sealing so it really is a touchless wash.

Zaino is fine to be applied by hand, I have a PC and ALWAYS apply zaino by hand because I prefer it that way.feens wrote:Ill Be Doing my car soon with the Zaino have bought some zfx z2pro and z8 sealer ill be applying by hand as i dont have a pc yet but will i get good results or will i be wasting my product??? also i know its daft but what can i use to apply it with?? a meguires applicator pad or something like that?? As for what to a apply it with the meguirs applicator is fine (you can also use it for each coat) you may find if you don't do a wipe down between each coat though the applicator will get dirty, because its so small. Also wash it immediatly after the last coat or throw it away, and wash out the zfx+z2 pot.
Also give it 1 or 2 shots zfx8 before you use it to apply z2+zfx as this stops the solution of zfx+z2 just soaking into the applicator.
You must however use a 100% cotton (I prefer microfibre) cloth to buff off.
Other than that just follow instuctions on each of the bottles, leave the z2+zfx at least 15 minutes before you buff off, the longer you leave it the harder itis to buff but the better results you get. You'll know when its ready to buff off because there will be a white residue visable on the panel.
BTW MattJW did the sig pic.
