Hello forum...I think I have a problem with my rear.....rear-axle that is.
It seems there is a WUF-ing sound coming from the axle...what can this be? Bearings, Diff....???? When I go slow, the wuf-ing is slow....when I go faster, the wuf-ing goes faster....any ideas? When I am doing aroud 87 km/h, there is a marked "singing" in the car....... :(

you sure its not barking?

if its all the time could well be the diff, does it sound like its coming from one side?

I would recomend jacking the rear up and seeing if anything has any play on it

if it was diff or wheel bearings would be a constant "whirr" that gets louder/faster as you travel faster..

Woof??does it sound like something escaping (like a gas??/)

sure it aint a "thud" sound??if it is could be rear bushes or diff bush

sounds like rear wheel bearings-had this sort of noise last year and was a rear wheel bearing. I changed both!! Would recommend (as well) jark the rear up, rotate one wheel and listen if the noise is not coming from the diff !!

Sounds like the first signs of a failing diff to me, but don't panic. They can go on for 10s of thousands of miles like this.
Difficult to describe noises, but I would describe a wheelbearing as a rougher noise.
