Can you get them to match your key? At front and glovebox?

Joe 318i,
I dont think the passenger side door barrel has the deadlock system on it. A new barrel will have a new key. BMW do the whole set (2xdoor, 1x ignition, glove box, boot)for £138 all in.

We're not supposed to have discussions on Paul's forum, but it's possible to dismantle the lock barrels and remove the numbered tumbler plates inside. With a spare lock barrel or two to provide extra tumblers, it's possible to assemble the lock barrel to suit any key you like.
The bodgers way of doing it is to remove the lock barrel from its housing, insert your chosen key, and file off the ends of any tumbler plates that are projecting.

Guys you can get a kit from BMW that has lots of tumblers in it and a new barrel. The tumblers are numbered 1 to 4 IIRC. You simply take your own barrel apart slowly remembering what numbered tumbler is in what position. Simply use the new correct numbered tumblers and you can build it up to the key. Easy huh. The kit was £14 iirc.
