As no one has started a register for the convertible, I thought I would start it. It doesn't matter what model, as long as it is a convertible.

Suggestions are to put your usual stuff, eg, model, engine, modifications, bodyworks etc

As I say it doesn't matter what model it is. It can be the lowest engine up to the most wonderful M3 convertible. Motorsport included as a limited edition.

Would be good to know what your specifications are, probably best to get those from your original printout from the dealership.

It will be good to know how many convertibles there are around and what colours, engine sizes etc are around.

Personally, I love all convertibles. The 3 -Series E30 was one of the original softtops that were made specifically to be able to tuck the hood away, without looking like a pram, like so many of the convertibles that are still around.

The car looks a stunner. Beautiful, unadulterated classic copy of how an E30 convertible should look. I like the numberplate too. It should always be dry, then we can always drive our cars with the hoods down. Yours has the same lovely lip spoiler as mine. Much nicer than the standard one. It just has that classier look to it, than the standard one. Well done to you for buying such a wonderful example.

To be frank the convertible is to common a model for a register. Registers tend to be for models produced in far fewer numbers or with a small survival rate. Dont get me wrong i love E30 convertibles (i've had a couple) but its to broader spectrum to facilitate. A motorsport convertible or M3 convertible register yes but not just any old convertible.

I await the backlash!

Surely this is going to end up as just a list of cars. Lizzie, are you collating a spread sheet with the view of publishing and updating the register?
