Sup guys..

well the respray has been done, had a right mission with it as the kit had been painted 4-5 diff colours, bumpers especially were a bitch as they were reactin to the paint quite bad so there not read yet...

Few lil bits here and there which will probably polish out with some fine paper but in all im happy..it cost me approx Ԛ£350 for a 1500-2000 respray so i cant conplain.. :)

The fit between the side skirts and the door pods could be better, most of the clips that hold these 2 together (apart from main door) are missing so i got a bit of a gap..once its been polished,il probably run a bead of sealent along to make it look a bit neater..

THIS IS MY PROBLEM..

I got no reinforced metal in my Rear Bumper  ...Is this my fault?? dunno..too tired to care, bought it of a zoner who i wont name due to not knowing whos fault it is as he said it was complete/full ..

So..can i take the reinforced metal outa my old bumper? .. BUT the lil clips inside which look as though they hold the metal in are all broke, someone couldnt be bothered to unclip em properly by the looks of it..IF IT FITS,then il get it in there somehow with help from some Tiger-Seal and a few make shift brackets..

Last thing i wanna do now is have to buy another m-tech Rear bumper and spray it again which all adds Ԛ£'s

Do these normaly come with the metal in em...the Front one was included but back was missing.....MY fault for not checking me thinks..

Advice pls..:)

im going to try that today...
The clips that im on about are the actual plastic moulded bits ON the bumper itself..like little lips where the clips would fix too...these are broke which is why im going to have to use tigerseal to replace that bond, the side clips are there and obvioulsy the channel along the whole bumper where the metal would sit is intact so i dont think it will be that difficult.

Just a pain in the ass..front spoiler split a bit on the side when installing..side skirt split a bit when installing..still got the outher side to do..these were repaired quite a bit before with fibre-glass and they've gave way again..not much i can do apart from touch em up with the paint i got left..second hand kits are a pain in the ass unless yer lucky (to a CAB is a lil more work too)

there are moulded lips on the bottom of the door-pods which sit into the side skirt..i got about 2-3 left on the kit from about 12 which have broken off prior to me recieving it..another mission!

like i said before..once its all fixed and touched up any spots,i can run a few beads od scilcone here and there to cover any gaps..should look fine

K,bumpers sorted with a bit of DIY and some self tapets..

as for the side skirts..ive got 2 rivets for the front end of the skirt which is covered up by the door pods, and have the clamps which go underneath and clamp aropund cill also have self tapers in arches which are all OE parts..

Does anyone know what the part numer is for the clips which go along the side of the body and clamp to the side-skirt? are they used?

at the moment its fixed ok to the bottom and arches but seems a bit loose around its length..mainly underneath the doors (2 door CAB)..there are some holes in the body work which hold some sort of clip and they look as though they line up with marks/recessed bits on the skirts but cant seem to find em on OE site,,

Any Ideas

yea,thats the ones...cheers.

Ive only got 1 hole to take these so i guess i got to drill more for these fixings...they got 2 grommits on each there right?

things i took of the CAB were lil white clips which only had to have 1 hole/fixing for each

did you have exitsting holes there already or did you have to drill like me...

looks like i got a bit more work to do then and then rust prevent the new holes

fits nice everywhere else, just was a bit flappy round the door area which is where these new clips will go..also didnt seem to have alot of area to screrw to when it come to the arches on the CAB..idealy i would of used the OE plastic rivets but there was no way i could of got a 7-8 mm hole there..just about got a self tapper to hold

they've been repaired in the past with F-Glass so i think there ever so slighlty outa shape which is giving me probs

Thks for the pix

the only holes i have to drill are for the top sideskirt clips...

k,im not the only one then...as for the arches...there fine, its the kit which has been repaired in the past and i think its sligtly outa shape on the arches which is giving me crap when it comes to fixing em..

you going to drill and fix yer clips or will you put any sort of rust prevention on the holes first?

not sure wether its really needed or not..
