Hi

I have a 325 with a 2 pc exhaust, the rear box is a Scorpion which came with the car.

as my center box is now blowing, can I get the the front bits from a 3 pc system and use it with my Scorpion box.

I am looking to get the hottuning manifold in the future which only seems to work on the 3 pc sys, for this reason I am looking to change the set up.

Any Ideas

You'd have to buy a new Scorpion, if you wanted to change to 3 piece, if you can change to 3 piece.

am i right in thinking scorpion rear boxes are 3 piece anyway? with an adapter to fit them to the front piece from a 2 piece system? is so you could get scorpion front sections like th R-man said.... would need centre box and down pipes if im correct.

Thats a relieve Gibson :D

So there is hope afterall as GFS has the center at a decent price I can then set it up as a 3 pcs

and get the manifold at a later date.

Im pretty sure you will have to buy a scorpion centre section and downpipes, OR a 2 piece FRONT section (that includes middle box) and either use your old (or replace) scorpion adapter pipes....

I had an absolute nightmare with mine mate and yours sounds like it could be the same

Yep looks like you have a hybrid of a 2 piece and 3 piece system!

The front section is OE 2 piece

The middle pipes are Scorpion Adapters

And the back box is Scorpion 3 piece

Look at the evolve site and look at what they call a "Cat-back" system.... this will explain all

So if the back box is 3 piece then I can set up the whole system as a three piece.

I try to check the cat back on the evolve site but can't find it, or it could be blocked as I am at work and they have blocked all the pictures on the zone.

Can you let me know what the link is.

Thanks

I will see if i can find the link...

Im pretty sure the scorpion back box will only mate to a scorpion middle section.... this is what you need to check before you go and buy GSF parts.... but i cant really remember to be honest!

Look on that webshite and look at the pictures at the bottom. click on the diagram of the exhaust and you will see what i mean by "link pipes"

i think these are whats on you are, they go between the back box and the front section (from a 2 piece)

the front section from your 2 piece should include the middle box (were the cat would be on a cat car)

the front section from a 3 piece (not you car) will just be a pair of down pipes
