ignition timing adjustment help!!!!!!!!!

has any one ever done this ??? just want to know how its done as haynes dont help cheers

This is M10 carb, with conventional distributor isn't it?
If so, you loosen the clamp at the base of the distributor and turn it.
The timing on all other E30 engines is set by a toothed wheel on the crank pulley or by magnets on the flywheel, and can't easily be adjusted.
