Lincoln meet

Our current COTM member has suggested a Lincoln meet.Of course I am up for this,to suit me it would have to be a Friday or Saturday evening or possibly a Sunday lunchtime as I work nights Sunday-Thursday.Location would depend to some extent on the number of people/cars attending,my first thought is the Golden Eagle at the bottom of the High Street....it's just round the corner from me!! Please post up your suggestions...

im up for this though i dont think my car would be may i suggest north hykeham as a location maybe the plough or harrows inn pubs

Don't know the place too well but I do know where the Harrows Inn is. Nth Hykeham would be favourite for me too.

What about the Swanholme?

If I am to take the COTM it would have to be to a place where I can see it at all times.

Swanholme sounds fine to me,but only 3 or 4 of us and 2 or 3 cars so far...any suggestions for dates? Thinking 18,19,20 or25,26,27 of July....

25, 26 or 27th July for me as the other dates I will be preparing it for a show. Any other takers?

Whats up with our newly formed Lincolnshire meeting.. third Tuesday of the month at the Horseshoes in Silk Willoughby near Sleaford.

Next one on July 15th will be the fourth one.

Sleaford - what A*** of the world is that

Lincoln is bad enough to get in and out of. They haven't built a decent road to it yet so you have to use either the A57 and pay 30p for the priviledge or use the back road called the A46. Even worse could be the A15.
To get to Sleaford I think I need the tardis to take me back in time!

Also, I don't know about others but having it on a weekday evening is not an option for me - something called work gets in the way!
essfourteen - how many show for these then and from where?

Don't hold back - say what you feel!

If it is as you say then Andrew needs to be let down gently as it is his baby and we will gather somewhere else.

It's a tad too far for me anyway so Lincoln would be a bit nearer

Oh a good few now- 20 plus is the average at the Yorkshire meet in Howden peaking at 34 on a quiznight.. a quiet night in winter gets us about a dozen.

Similar numbers at the Derbyshire meet in Chesterfield - its a bigger pub with an even bigger car park - now we have a regular Zymol demo in the carpark and people are getting to know about it - I can see us getting 50 there on a fine summer evening.

Next one there is tomorrow, July 7th

well i've just seen daimlermans thread (bin working a week of 12hr night shifts

) & worse luck i cant get the time off work
like daimlerman i work nights saturday to wednesday) so if there are any meets taking place towards the end of next month then i'm sure i can make it (should have the car finished by then) cuz lincoln or sleaford aint that far from where i live (up nr skegness)
so if any body hear's of any more taking place then pm please guys

Just arrived home after a pleasant meet with 4 cars and 5 zoners.I have to say that it gave me great pleasure to meet the June COTM in person and to be able to natter to it's owners over a refreshing pint.Must do this again!!

Yep - as one of the other zoners attending it was great to meet fellow zoners in the vicinity.
The weather held good and sipping a pint outside in view of the E30s was just brill.

Here are some pics.

All we have to do is arrange another date so those that missed this one can join in. Any suggestions guys (including those that missed out)
