What am I missing here, 2001 LHD M3 with moderate damage, currently over 15 grand on eBay. It's an 11 grand car in Dyson vacuum cleaner gold - is it a shill bid stitch up or what?

got to be shilling, the guy who bid £15k, bid nine times on the thing so far and has 4 bid retractions in 6 months (so he can see their highest bid then retract it and bid lower to eek the price up)

Damned eBay. What is the matter with people? You do realise as things get tighter and this so called recession bites more, that thieving scum like this will only become more and more active :(

I say 'so called' recession Si because it is nothing as yet, compared to what we had in the late eighties this is a minor bump. I have no doubt you're right as such but let's be optimistic otherwise we'll be passing around the rope.

10 year cycle IMHO, I'm not that old and this coming fall will be my third, the first cost me my original career, shame as I'd just qualified( 5 years apprenticeship )

£1500 for a decent repair ? the parts alone required would surely exceed that. rear quarter, roof, bumper, glass trims paint labour etc? and no cheap pattern replacement parts for that sort of car.

Is 'Barking' in brum by chance?

Sounds like a typical brummy advert.

I must say that the price on this car is not cheap for the condition....
Take a look to Germany and see how much they are selling for
