ok, ive tried to get hold of "gibby" for 3 weeks now for confirmation but no reply, so i think im just going to go ahead and give his place to someone else. I would have loved to see a "cecotto" in the flesh too ah well, least we have 1 m3 to drool over

actually, Shona,s tourer probably wont make it now..yesterday morning she was on the way out to buy more polish to get the tourer ready for Glamis when a tractor emerged through a hedge and straight into the passenger side of the "old barge" while she was passing at around 40mph..the car still drives fine but her m3 mirror is history there is a deep gouge in both doors and the quarter is dented,kinked and punctured they are coming to collect the car tomorrow so not much chance of seeing her back in time for Glamis..im convinced they will write her off due to the age of her anyway

graham for that kind of damage you would be better off keeping the car and accepting a payout. two second hand doors and a bit of home bashing/filler/paint and the car wouldnt be any worse off really.

why? it is the insurance who is taking it away to be assessed and leaving us with a hire car (fastest cars in town )

i am planning getting it back and fixing it by means of new doors and a new panel welded in the rear quarter
