Ive just bought an Alpine HU with a hispeeed ipod cable which plugs into the back (not of this hanging off the front, cluttered nonesense)
Is there a easy route to send the ipod cable into the glovebox? i havnt got my car to hand atm and wondered if anybody else has done this.

I've got the same Alpine HU by the sound of it. Does yours come with a seperate ipod interface box? Mine's velcro'd into the glovebox and running the cable was simply aiming it to the left and it just dropped in!
IMO one of the best pieces of stereo kit I've ever bought. Ingenious controlling it all from the head unit.

Yep, sounds like it. That was the main attraction for me, not having to mess baout with the ipod and not having it hanging of the HU (i dont like clutter) also if want to park up i can just leave everyhting as is.
Hopefully sound quality etc shoudl be good as Alpine dont make rubbish...i hope

well the glovebox is open to the top all you need to do is hide the "brain" somewhere with some velcro and hey presto.
didnt get a chance to see your h-unit at the meet natdj but i thought the car was shweet, made me want to swap the 5 for a e30 cabrio

Just put my interface + cables in the glove box as it would only have CD's in ayway, been using these Alpines for 3 yrs now and wouldn't go back to CD, I-pod all the way plus you can have much more music in the car
