Meguiars 3 step?

Evening everyone,

With the show season just about started, I've been pondering on new ways to bring a good smooth shine to my diamond black sport.

I've always heard good things about meguiars products, and I just wondered if the "3 step" system is a good route to go down? I will be claying the paintwork to start with of course. Do people rate this?

Any advice or opinions much appreciated.

Can't beat zaino IMO, unless you want to start using PC's and alike. Though I also rate Meguirs especially for the price.

Just realised how crap an answer that was!

As with anything how much are you willing to spend? and I can recommend something, I've tried nearly everything.

Yeah, having been thinking a lot about Zaino and have seen great results from photos (C76 Jon...wow). If zaino products are really worth the extra money, along with a porter cable, I would probably head that way. However, I'm attracted to Meguiars due to the price, and the fact that they are readily available from places like Halfords etc...

Zaino costs more in the outset but only works out at £3 or less per wash, try putting it through a car wash for less and getting a job half as good!

One thing to remember, The finish will only be as good as the base. If your paint is fubar'd then whatever LSP you use will not show it's true potential.

Paint is pretty good overall, just has a few swirls here and there and just needs some attention to get it looking luuurrrvvly! Have tried various products (auto glym, turtle wax etc...) but really want to take it to the next level.
