custom sunroof

i have a 4 doors e30, in that series there is no sunroof,
well, i have a plan to build it, what do you think??
do you have a suggestion for me what kind of sunroof i should build??

sounds like a whole load of effort to me - get a facelift E30 if you really want a sunroof. Suppose if you're really serious about having a go at it you could do some sort of full length rag-top thing? I wouldn't like to myself but good luck if you do go ahead with it!

ooooh i hate sunroofs! drip drip drip. I wouldnt know where to start with that. Cutting the roof and custom making a roof lining sounds like a huge job. On the other hand,.. the m535i from the 80's has cool "moon roof|". Its glass instead of a metal top. That would be a great mod for the e30 if you dont mind the work (and the hair loss)

Don't think the facelift is an issue, I had a B plate '84-85 4 door with a sunroof. Think it's just down to the options the original buyer ticks.
