Supercharger for 325i

just wanted to ask if anyone knows if a mini cooper S supercharger will fit in an e30 325, if so is it difficult, how much do they go for and what else would i have to do, thanks

Not sure how much you stand to gain from it really. If you have a look through the M40 supercharger post (the million page long one) there's information about calculating air flow rates etc.
You need to look at how much the engine consumes and then how much the charger can supply over and above what the engine consumes normally.
Not sure about the prices, to fit it, you need a means of mounting it, driving it, an intercooler and I'd recommend using engine management that can read positive manifold pressure.

And the quick answer is no the M45 is not big enough, the max you could use it at would be about 3psi, not really worth the effort for so little boost as the power gained would be soaked up spinning the blower.

the cheapest way you're likely to find one with enough capacity is to go for a Jag or Merc blower. both are reasonably common on ebay. this will also alloy you the excess capacity to supercharge a 3.5 lump for instance!!!
