if i remove the rear seats from my 2dr e30 will it go thru mot ok?

reason i ask is a few years back i had a mk2 golf gti with no rear seats and the guy failed it for having no rear seats when it should have. ive since been told this mot tester was talking rubbish but just want to try clarrify this.

If it's not there they can't test it.

So it will go through the MOT.

Our e30 race car went through the mot no problem during it's build with just the front seats and belts (standard at the time) but then I do know the tester.

Just to make sure we sent the V5 off with the number of seats changed from 5 to 2 (it's strictly a 2 seater now!) so we can take that with us in the future to stop a different tester having issues. :D

Make sure you take out all the seatbelts too. Mine failed first time as i'd left the seatbel reels in place.

no problem as long as all traces are removed including seat belts. my road/track car with stripped interior and only 2 front bucket seats with 3 point harnesses passed no problem.
