A good proportion of the locals around here, including me, have shotguns handy, and the dog makes a good alarm.
Neighbour of mine fired off both barrels at some little scumbag interfering with one of his vehicles in the middle of the night a couple of years ago. Police got to know about it, but quietly dropped it after a few initial investigating.

My iS was the subject of attempted tea-leavery when I live in Hyde Park (scrotey area of Leeds). Fortunately the pikey cunts were particulary inept and only suceeded in damaging the lock a bit. Still got myself a Clifford though. Cost a few quid but remote central locking is nice and the flashing blue LED looks pretty
where i live now ive not had much of a problem got a set of wheels nicked i reckon i know who did it but just cant prove it and the local police all they say is well look into it.. then they tell me not to take the law into my own hands!!!!! ive put cctv cameras up watching the driveway and garden a couple of months ago and havent had anything go missing since there not noticeable but i reckon i was watched putting them up plus i give the dog the run of the drive when i go out now which puts ppl off coming in

I do the same, complacency isn't a good thing mind, probably come out one day to find someone's left my 5's alone!Bob_S wrote:I leave the keys in my car most weekends garage wide open shit all over the show.. sounds like you lot live in crime capital!

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
Here in Durban, i live in an area called Umbilo, and my caby parks on the street. Here in S.A they are one of the worst cars to drive or own because you get highjacked and they use them to rob the cash in transit trucks by ramming them with the e30 and can still get away coz the e30 is pretty solid. Iv put in a ambulance siren under my hood connected to my alarm with a 116db siren under the steering column and to top it off iv got a colour cctv camera mounted on my rear board connected to a wireless av sender to my bedroom t.v and a infrared camera watching the street around my baby. The whole thing, alarm, cameras, senders, etc cost me about R5000.00 +/-£340.00
As for thieving so far so good for me with the E30(touch wood)... Quite a few years ago had the sound system nicked out of my AX (hopefully they died shotly after)... I did have a local pikey who came up my dead end road looking for scrap ask if i was scrapping my E30!!!nickstoner wrote:i dont live in a bad area or nuffink but every night i come home i have to move my sisters car cos shes the first one to leave for work in the morning and once before ive left it out there for 2 seconds and there were some people eyeing it up..ive just got back tonight left my car for 2 secs and my girlfriend was watchin it and a e46 m3 pulled up behind it eyed it up saw me come out and drove off ???? does this happen to anyone else or just me ???????
At the time it was loaded with rubbish ready to go to the tip, had steelies on the back and was filthy and muddy lol!
I called him a cheeky c**t and he apologised! He seemed genuinely guilty too lol!

im lucky really... we dont have any crime around these parts... go into the city however and its a different story. . . plus if i ever got my car stolen i know who to ask to get it back.
Norwich city centre is ok most nights. Friday and Saturday nights are something else though. I've lost count of how many times my E36 has been pointlessly keyed by alchopop drinking chavs. There's also been a couple of attempted break-ins. By simply driving it to a side road it's since remained unscathed. The E30 fortunately seems to be immune from such treatmente30bmlover wrote:im lucky really... we dont have any crime around these parts... go into the city however and its a different story. . . plus if i ever got my car stolen i know who to ask to get it back.

Had my sport nicked about 3 in the morning
, they didn't start it but rolled it off my drive, got caught though as the alley they pushed oit up the guy who lived ther woke up and called the police who nabbed them red handed.Compensation i got was £30 from each of the wank4ers
. My convertible has had a load of attention in the last couple of months with people dropping notes through my letter box and annoying the wife. Now got a BIG note reading NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!
I once had a nissan micra that my mate gave me, as a stolen recovered and he decided that he didnt want. Because the ingition it had been butchered to hotwire it my mate wired it up as a push button start, with a button on the dash, but a hidden switch to turn the power on. I kept coming out and finding it unlocked andblaming my dad, who insisted he always locked it after use. One morning my old man came out to find another key in the ignition and the car unlocked, a similar enough match on the knackered up locks to unlock the steering lock but thanks to my friends foresight of hiding the power switch, they couldnt drive it away. In the end the twats stole the parcel shelf to get the 25quid speakers (totally missing the 12cd changer in the boot.... tw@s)
