Hello,
Finally for the 335i running and drives superb, only thing i need is the temp sensor, just need so help with this...
Is the one i need a "radiator mounted" e30 325i sensor? if so does this mount in the rad or where the m30 one is? Another stupid question, i'm guessing the m30 temp sensor is near the bleed nipple, and do i just use this plug for the wiring?
Thanks in advance for your help, really need it!
Shaun.

You need an M20 sensor that will replace one of the ones in your 'stat housing, trouble is i can't remember off hand which ones for the temp gauge and which ones for the ECU
It's been that long since i did mine, some one should post up in a bit and say which one it is.

Assuming you mean for the guage, it's a straight swap - the brown one for one from an m20 E30 (eg 325i).

its located on the thermo houseing so near the bleed nipple. just get a new brown temp sensor for an e30 m20 and stick it in the m30 and connect it up.

Just got a temp sensor but my gauge still doesn't work, the thread was different to the blue sensor so i took out the blanking plug next to it and stuck it in there, plug it up but still no joy, anything else i have to do? only one pin on the brown connector so does the plug need to be shorted out or something?
Cheers for your help,
Shaun.

You need to replace the black m30 sensor with the brown m20 sensor, therefore leaving you with one brown sensor and one blue.
