Hello guys, just joined this forum, was watching some articles and soem threads, nice info.

I'm Diego and I have a 1987 325is wich I added a custom Turbo setup.

So far I had 3 turbos (tested) I started with a garett T3 then i upgrade dit with a T4 compressor (much better) then I installed a used Turbonetics T3/T4 size (pic in the avatar) and finally installed fully T4 with 2.5" out let turbine.

Recently my engine blew the head gasket (due the knock, now has Mega quirt installed) and found also that my pisotns rings were blown.

So I decided to go 3.0L route, I have a S50 crank and I'm already working on it to make it fit correct (almost direct swapp) and also I welded the water chanels in my head, port and polished the runners as well the combustion chamber. I upgraded my T4 compressor for soemthign bigger.

SRT-4 Chrysler 557cc Injectors

I'm waiting now my Wiseco Custom Forged pistons wich will yield 8.3:1 Cr (originally had 8.8:1) No CAT.

Some old and news pics: hope you like it. Also a link in Cardomain

Welcome to the zone!

That looks like a nice setup, it looks like it was previously running on a vortech FMU? How well did that work, i knew you blew the headgasket so not great obviously, how long did it take to go?

Looks like a killer setup though with an awesome bumper showing off that 'cooler!

Thanks Jon, the FMu sucks for me, but it helpe in back days to have a big smile in the mouth :D = Boost!

AT leats in my case the FMU( tested two different brands) non adjustable, jumped from 40 PSI FP up to 95 PSI of FP at just 1 PIS of boost runing 10:1 Ratio disc.

Now I have isntalle dmy Mega Squirt and SRT-4 Stage 1 injectors(Chrysler) and are 557cc.

I didn't tune it yet sinc ehte engine is out for the stroker build project.

I also buying a WIde band Sensor to tuen the MS.

I was runing a FMU+ 21 lb/h siemens (Jeep) injetcor, when floored it,and build boost , the car shake or Ԛ·"stumble" due the high loads of fuel int he cylinder for the poor air sucked. SO eevry once I wanted to lucnh hard I had to kick the clutch and spinign the tires to make quick boost.

diego, is that a Euro S50 crank you are using? the euro 3.0 cranks are a different part number to the US crank from their dodgy m3 (330is? :P) that the yanks use for their m20's - i had heard that the mains were bigger in the euro but yours fits the m20 fine (i wonder what the difference is...)

Didn't know that, but the one I'm using is the US version, not so sure about the euro, I guess is the same.

LAst time I checked the TIS both cranks were indentical in specs.

yes you would expect them to be the same spec, its hard to know for sure though unless part numbers are identical or you have them both sitting in front of you and can measure/test fit etc... theres way too much misinformation floating round for me to want to take a chance, maybe i'll hit up some big wrecking yards and see if they'll let me play with their cranks :D
