Split boot on track rod end

I have split the rubber boot that goes over the ball joint on the track rod end where it joins the steering knuckle on th estrut housing. Is this a new track rod end for the mot or can I replace the rubber boot?

just replace the boot, that will get you through the mot

I dont think you can obtain the boot on its own. I have ordered another track rod end now.

I am not sure this is the same. I think this is the gator where as I am refering to the rubber boot surrounding the ball joint. But I have a new track rod end now so. :? [/img]

Supplier's of bits for kit cars can supply replacement boots.
