the other ones you have seen may be matt blackprojectmick wrote:Only thing is, it seems different to other "satin black" cars I have seen? The rest seem to be very flat, whereas this seems to have a bit of a shine. Thats why I was asking about using a clearcoat, cos if I do it, I dont want it to look like a home-made job!

I notice that drivers side door from some where Pauldeacs?pauldeacs wrote:satin black. did it myself using a 2HP compressor. there are a few matt black acrs going around my area and the satin looks far better IMO, has a semi shine to it

Depends if you are going down the 2 pack route?projectmick wrote: So, OBs - where can I look up the relevant colours and products needed? If you could share some info that would be great!
Im guessing you have 'basecoated' it?pauldeacs wrote: OB.......... you are a bit of a car bodyshop guru................... what kinda clearcoat could i apply to make it a bit easier to maintain as such but not get too much of an intense shine (i.ekeep it looking satin-ish)
oops............. feedback now left!OBs wrote:Yea thats what I saidpauldeacs wrote:lol you probably dont recognice the passenger side door but would notice the drivers one for sure ;)![]()

Hi again Mick, Ill explain it the best I canprojectmick wrote:So let me get this right, I can use a flat plain black satin spray as a base, and then apply a flattening binder on top instead of a clearcoat? And this flattening binder is the "honda" you speak of?
Sorry if I have got that all wrong, but if you could get me the code for the Honda colour that would be cool.
P.S how is this cleaned? Can it be waxed or will that make it too shiny?
