Yeah, I know what you mean Paul.

Last year some rather unruly chavvy English people were taking things too far.

It was slightly embarrassing being English at times! :?

Avoid that stuff and it's brilliant! 8)

Classic LeMans is the way forward too IMO.

Also from personal experiecnce the Danes caused as much trouble as the English, except they were probably even drunker. On Saturday night some even tried to piss on the track apparently on the pit straight. Not to mention a little indescression in the Super U.

Yeah last year's mad friday at houx annexe got well out of hand - lots of things getting thrown at cars, proper abuse being thrown at the locals, etc. Stupid, irresponsible behaviour that spoils the party for those just looking to have a relaxed, friendly good time. It's a real shame, because without the chavvy bastards (who are from all over the place but a lot come from the UK) the whole event would be perfect.

Good point guys, it isn't just the English, but it still made me cringe a little! :?

Maybe a silly question but i'm an infrequent user of this site since selling my E30 but is the E30 touring with racing stickers and a full cage anyones on here, i saw it a few times whie i was there and thought it looks the nuts. 1st french car i saw on departing the port was a 324d i was so tempted to chance it for his crank. Fantastic Lemans again.

Light blue one with orange bits? If it's that one, it belongs to a guy called Andy Fletcher, who races it in the PBMW series - he was at Le Mans and he drove past me on the Friday. Really nice chap, been e-mailing him a lot and he's been offering a lot of advice for my touring project.

it seemed our petrol stops seemed to be the same as his :D got to see it plenty  fair play to drive that over.

Anybody off to the Le Mans Classic in July?

I'll be arriving on the 9th at Maison Blanche... early evening(ish)... in my Mk2 Jetta if anyone will be there. If you do go it'll be the silver one with the roof-rack... pretty easy to spot!

Giles.

What camp site did you stay on? I was at lemans this year and as you said on teh saunday night it was carnage! some dutch fellas next to us set fire to near on everything they owned including a fridge freezer!!!

the amount of times i saw people almost struck by stray fireworks was crazy!!!

a very mad weekend indeed!

i was near the white rabbit tent. i was shocked by the mess. i admit i was slightly worried when i got back to teh camp site on the wed and all the fires were going. in the distance i could see a massive fire that kept going up even brighter/ some explosions!

just didnt want it to get out of hand.

maybe thats the age showing but we did have a few girls with us.

we just made a mess of the field.

ther were some blokes by us with a giant catupult set up firing water bombs over the campsite. The amount of quality cars in the camping areas was amazing.

Those quality cars will not be back if the standards continue to go down
