hello every1, the 17" alpinas on my 320i convertible have been catching on the wheel arches ever since i replaced the original 15" bbs wheels, and today i got a puncture as a result, does any1 have any ideas as to what i can do to stop the wheels catching, it seems to happen everytime i go over a bump, does it need lower profile tyres? different suspension? any help would be much appreciated, thanks all

wont putting lower profile tyres on leave a huge gap at the front wheel arches, the gap there is already fairly big, or does my car have a suspension fault

gap depends on if uԚ´ve lowered it... and how big the alloy/rubber combo takes up. if it hasent been lowered and it rubs
then i dont know, mabey a mechanic should have a butch.
how long ago did u change em over, because a blowout after a recent change is also a bit weird. they must have been Ԛ´realyԚ´ rubbing

what profile tyre do you have on them at the moment? and is your car lowered?
my cab is lowered 60mm on 17in alpina reps. on the front i have 205/40/17s and on the rear i have 215/40/17s and it does not rub anywhere, even with 4 peeps in there. you can see from my sig pic how low a 60mm drop sits on the wheels.

Mine is lowered 40mm and I have 215/40/17s all I had to do is take a hammer to arch lips but if it is a later one they are all ready rolled.

im not sure if its lowerd, it seems low at the back but not the front, ive never lowerd it and theres no record of it ever being done by the previous owners, the tyres are 215/45/17s, and i tried to have the wheel arches rolled but i was told theyre double lined on a bmw and cant be done, i had bought the wheels about 2 months ago, i think it must be a suspension fault coz the front is significantly higher than the rear
