Personally I'd prefer a standard spring rate but firmer damping- gives you a better comfort ride but with less apparent suspension travel. You'd need fully adjustable suspension though!! Cheapest way is to fit lowered springs but the ride wont be as complient- at 17 who gives a crap about that though!! I didn't :D

The drop depends on the springs. If you drop too far then the dampers can't cope and you need shorter ones to match. Shorter springs also tend to be stiffer than the standard ones to stop you bottoming out. This will have the added effect of your springs overpowering your dampers so you car feels underdamped (and even choppier) if you have standard dampers on.

Well if your gonna mod it when why not do it properly? dont bother just putting springs on it it will drive like shit! and you will trash the shocks each time you beat them into themselves because they are too long. save up and get a full kit, so it will drive, feel and look better. infact you may as well go one better and tear all the bodykit rubbish of it and sell that to fund it!

oh yea... i remember, did you get your kit fitted then? because last time we heard anything from you it was you whinging that you couldnt get your body kit fitted for less than £600 (which by the way is a pretty good price)

im gonna be real harsh here and say if you cant afford to buy, insure and modify an E30 but still want to "mod" something, why dont you stick to Clio's?

Don't come on here looking for advice and then throw a wobbly when the advice you get isn't what you wanna hear.

And there's nothing wrong with tourings

***Edit***

Jaysus!!!, I didn't see the last two pages!
What a tit

The fact that the back has the lowered suspension shows how lazy they were the last time they were modding it
