exactly i cant afford or nick to be spending thousands on a car only for it to have an off and effectivly write the car off.
better to sell the gen bits that are left and use the solid shell with a modded 325 lump on bbs and track that
least we know then we have a car that isnt gona be rotten going on track
we dont exactly earn megga bucks and even living at hom its only meand my mam so i still have all the bills

your jealousy is rearing its head again simon.Simon13 wrote:i'll make a chaos offer "this car is way overpriced" no way its worth 500 nicker
Will u take Ԛ£250 for it?
you know full well the wheels alone r worth Ԛ£500 odd, so i think i'll have to say no to ur well thought out, clear and concise, not to mention polite offer
so how many cars have i got then?u have more cars than hot dinners,
how many of them are e30's ?
ooh its looking green round here again.
i had it about 6 weeks odd iirc, tho i might be a week or so out.most folks on here keep their cars quite a while on here. u are just tight and don't want someone to reep the benefits of money u spent on a car that u cannot get back. Eg how long did that 2.7 E21 323i last 5 days? before u ponced the wheels off it and flogged it on?
im intrigued tho, how did i "ponce the wheels off it" ???
it was my car, so hence my wheels to do with what i wanted.
as it goes they were too wide and large for the car.
it looked as good on the bbs, and it rode and handled better and with no arch rubbing.
as for why i sold it, well thats my business. mine and anyone who i chose to share the details with.
altho for the record i will point out i spent Ԛ£500 on things it needed before i sold it - and i didnt make a profit on it (nor did i lose out either)
So simon do tell me, whats the problem with the way i buy an sell cars exactly - i dont rip ppl off, i dont force ppl to sell me their cars cheap, i wont sell a car thats fcuked without disclosing any problems, i dont sell cars above the market value, yes i make a profit at times but sorry thats the way of the world. Its not my problem if you havent got the intelligence or determination to try it yourself

This is back to my original point if u can't afford an alpina don't buy it. This is why there are none left. A sad end for this car. Most people who buy these cars buy silly things like brand new wheels for them and re trim the seats and fook the price.Richy325iTouring wrote:exactly i cant afford or nick to be spending thousands on a car only for it to have an off and effectivly write the car off.

Chaos if the wheels are worth Ԛ£500 how come yours were 350 then because they were good condition, are these better then? are they all straight and matching paint colours with decent locks?

it was bought from someone who wanted to track it, by 2 ppl who want to track it.
as for affording it, we have afforded it, cos its ours.
i see u shouting the odds about how sad it is, but ui dont see queues of ppl saying we will buy it and restore it.
im going on ebay prices from last few months.Chaos if the wheels are worth Ԛ£500 how come yours were 350 then because they were good condition, are these better then? are they all straight and matching paint colours with decent locks?
oh and locks and decent caps etc r Ԛ£120 from stealers, the set i had for Ԛ£350 didnt have those.

it is true, though... we aren't talking megabucks.
i've spoken to someone who said (and i agree, in a way) that if they had infinite cash they'd buy an evo 3 and evo2....
and crash them head-on in to each other!!
dunno, just would work a lot of people up, lol

Hey besides, killing off "rare" old cars only helps bump up the price of the surviving ones!
Technically helping those who actually "appreciate" them for what they are!

Dammn asshat Muffles dont talk about crashing, atleast the Z3 u killed was common as muck and not any of these fancy tuned cars that cost their poor first owners the price of a Porsche 911 (probably) simply for the privilege of exclusivity!

if nick and nemo want to buy a cheap solid alpina, already prepared for track work, and pull it to bits and rag it round a circuit, then it's their business. if people are silly enough to pay a monkey plus for some secondhand wheels off it, then good luck to 'em! it's just a solid shell for god's sake. congratulations nick and nemo for "bastardising" a "rare and collectable" car, hope you enjoy it, and if all goes well you'll have to watch out for a red E28 in your mirrors. move over
besides, it's just a wanky old E30, who cares

nice alpina mate it's your car do as you please with it , after all these are meant to be enjoyed go for it mate ,Chaos wrote:myself and nemo have bought ourselves a track car.
its a genuine alpina c1 2.3 shell complete with its original engine
as u can see form the pics, its missing an interior and bumpers.
Its had new sills, wings, bonnet, doors and rear wheelarches, so the shell is totally sound and it just needs spraying and some seats.
Current plans are to fit a phase one 2,5 engine (high comp) and tech one sport kit plus some other mods, sell the wheels, and then use it for track days.

right been readin this thread. at the end of the day its upto the buyer wot they do wiv the car, however with such a rare car it is a shame to use as track car. all it needs are spoilers, normal sport interior as most uk alpina didnt have the strippy seats anyway. you have the engine, wheels, suspension, plaque/clocks so there isnt much missing.
This car could be restored quite easily and money made on it n i doubt it wud cost that much as the structural stuff has been done.
save it and use a normal 325 instead
