Felt the need to share the moment :D
Anyone who has done an engine conversion will be familiar with the feeling you get on that first turn of the key, will it start or will it go BANG?
Well put a fully charged battery on it,turned the key and.......it works :P
Still got loads to do,most urgent is finish welding the exhaust and manifolds but its all down hill from here.
Anyway thats all for now just buzzing that it worked first time so had to share :D

Very short video of first turn of the key....

Think the 2lt is about 150 brake.
I know someone who fitted one a couple of years ago,one drive up the road and it was removed and replaced with 2.5 :P
2.5`s are easy enough to get anyway, around £250 would get you an engine and gearbox from an E34.
Something for you to consider for the future maybe :D
