howdo folks

Decided to get some Pinas for thre Tourer.
I have been offered some shabby 17s (will B mint with refurb).

My only concern is that I may run too low when loaded up!!?? The motor has already been dropped on eibach pro springs /matched with standard bilsteins.

Anyone running 17s is it ok? or should I wait for some 16s to come along??

cheerzzzz MaK

I've got 17's on my Touring, lowered 40mm. There is no rubbing at all any time even full up with people and luggage.

The seventeens will raise the car slightly.

as Jhonno said, the rolling radius is barely affected, i went from 195/60/14 to 205/40/17 - after sitting a wheel of each size on each other there was actually no visible difference.

Ahhhhhh It all becomes clear now bigger the wheels, less tyre depth.

So what tyres do you recommend 205/40/17 215/40/17 or 245/35/17
or wider at the back than front.

I've got 205/40 17's all round. I can't comment about if 215's would rub cos I'm not sure. Mine gives good enough handling though as it is.

There's plenty of weight in my boot and with 3 in the back it's fine down 60mm 215/40/17.. no probs.

i used to use 220 50 15 for 1/4mile, at the back but when loaded ( on the way to the race course ) the 225 hit the wings....215 is defenatly the widest without doing any bodywork....
